SUMMARY

Land Change Modeler (LCM), also referred as IDRISI GEOMOD model, is specialized on change analysis, trend detection, future LULC projection, and scenario modeling. It also provides analysis for potential impact on biodiversity and carbon sequestration.

The model calibration depends on historical trend and input environmental factors, and does not require the input of stakeholders. Policy input are taken as incentives, zoning plans, and constraints.

OUTPUT Future LULC raster (hard prediction), possibility of future LULC change (soft prediction)
HOW ARE SCENARIOS DECIDED?

Growth: Markov Chain (default) / external model result as transition table / stakeholder-defined transition table

Allocation: historical trend, suitability modeled by multilayer perceptron, the effect of simulated infrastructure construction (i.e. future road growth), restrictions/incentives from user input
