Interviews can obtain in-depth information on stakeholder visions, the policy context and expert opinion. Researchers may use interviews for: 

  1. first scoping of drivers and spatial factors influencing local suitability for specific land and marine uses
  2. eliciting expert judgement or local knowledge of the land change dynamic
  3. in-depth consultation on stakeholders’ visions and goals for the future
  4. understanding the policy context and possible policy changes in the future
